The other
day at work, I was ringing up this ladies’ items when she said to me “You seem
like a sharp young man that has potential.” That was weird and random. Then she
went on to tell me about her friend named Drew who retired at the age of 26. She
told me that I too could retire early and all I had to do was attend a few one
on one meetings with her. Was she being legit or was she just asking me out on
a date in a round about way? Of course, I was interested in the opportunity of
early retirement but obviously I was skeptical of a get rich quick scheme. The thought
of early retirement overruled the red flags in my head, so I went ahead and met
her. Our first meeting was at a Starbucks on the other side of town. In this
meeting she talked a lot and doodled on a paper without really giving me too
much information. I was sent home with a book to read before the next meeting, so
I could comprehend the information she was going to share with me. The book was
Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert
Kiyosaki.
This book was very interesting, it gave information about the four quadrantes
of cashflow. I could go in to detail, but that's not what this blog is about.
What’s up with that?
